After being arrested for possession of stolen goods, Elka finds herself sharing a jail cell with an old friend. Melanie, Victoria, and Joy attempt to stage a fundraiser for Elka's bail money, but are forced to deal with problems of their own. Joy is marked for deportation by the INS, Melanie's friends hate her boyfriend for arresting Elka, and Victoria loses most of her wealth to a financial scandal.
