Three best friends from Los Angeles are on a flight to Paris when the plane is forced to make an emergency landing in Cleveland. Melanie is recently divorced. Joy is a struggling entrepreneur. Victoria is an aging soap opera actress. None of the three women are truly happy with their lives. The ladies prepare to spend some time in Cleveland, but are shocked when they are treated like supermodels by the local male population. Seeing an opportunity to reinvent themselves, the three friends rent a home and prepare to make new lives in Cleveland. First though, they have to decide what to do about the elderly caretaker Elka.
